UR4Meals
UR4Meals serves about 20,000 meals to 700 socially excluded people per annum. It provides free clothing and bedding; volunteer opportunities and support with onward referrals. Numbers vary between 80 and 110 a day, and it is open five days a week.

According to the 2008 annual survey, 85% of beneficiaries are male and 45% have substance misuse issues. 38% squat or sleep on friends’ floors, 31% live in privately rented or council housing and 30% are sleeping rough. 25% are ex-offenders.
UR4Meals relies on the help of up to 20 volunteers per week, drawn from the local community, who assist with a variety of tasks: helping to prepare the food; serving the meals; sorting and distributing the clothing and bedding.
