UR4Jobs
UR4JOBS at the Upper Room is a specialist service that supports migrant workers and people from the new accession countries of Central & Eastern Europe. UR4Jobs aims to improve the employability of migrant workers and act as a one stop shop for information about living and working in the UK.

As part of the Upper Room, the Ur4jobs project supports Central and Eastern European Migrants and those with no recourse to public funds. The project aims to provide an intervention into the cycle of destitution & homelessness should clients fail to find work or fall prey to widespread exploitation.
www.ur4jobs.co.uk provides information on employment, training and a wide range of practical living issues in English, Polish and Romanian (and other languages). It is a specialist service that provides support for both migrants and the people who work with them.
UR4Jobs provides a welcome space for vulnerable people and in particular socially excluded Central and Eastern European migrant workers.
UR4jobs at the Upper Room is a unique project. It is one of the few organisations in Greater London to offer a community space and an opportunity for hands-on involvement to Central and Eastern European Migrants in addition to supporting them with services, training and employability.
Over 930 people have registered with UR4Jobs since it opened in November 2006 and the website is accessed from all over the EU. It has assisted people into work and training; with health issues and travel home; with employment law and ID documents; psychological support in language of origin and specialist services for migrant women. Most importantly high levels of service user participation and a warm, open-hearted family atmosphere have produced a flourishing project that addresses and meets a basic human need of community and inclusion.
