The Upper Room has moved temporarily to: Victoria House Community Hall, Becklow Road, London W12 9HB. Once the building works are complete in August 2019 we will move back to St Saviour's.
The Upper Room runs three linked projects which aim to give beneficiaries the tools or skills they need to help them become more resilient and to improve their lives:
UR4Meals provides free evening meals and one-to-one support 5.30-6.45pm, Monday to Friday.
UR4Jobs is a multilingual employment support service which is open Mondays & Tuesdays 12-5pm.
UR4Driving is an award-winning project which teaches ex-offenders to drive in return for 80 hours of voluntary work.
Winter Lectures 2019
Thursday 25th April
Moving away from a formal lecture mode, Lord Andrew Adonis will be interviewed by Prof. Steve Schifferes. The focus will be “Have our politics changed forever?”, but Prof. Schifferes also hopes to explore some other major political issues linked to Lord Adonis’s career. Lord Adonis, academic and journalist, has a distinguished political career, served for five years in the Labour government and was head of the no. 10 Policy Unit before entering the Lords in 2005. Prof Schifferes will take questions from the audience as the evening proceeds.

In the last 3 years we have helped over 200 disadvantaged service users to secure employment, and significantly improved the employability of hundreds more.
Every year The Upper Room's UR4Meals serves an average of 26,000 hot meals and takeaways to homeless and other disadvantaged people.
The Upper Room provides one-to-one/telephone advice to disadvantaged people on more than 1,500 occasions every year.
